Well I never found a foster home to help me get through my being afraid of people but I have made progress none the less. I am still afraid but I am getting better. I will now take treats and come up to let people touch me. In case you have forgotten my story - I was surrendered to a shelter in Missouri when I was 8 weeks old. I never got adopted and rather than moving me to another shelter where someone new could see me they left me sit there for over two years and I didn't get any attention so I was very anti-social. In April the request for Patriots to take me was made and since then the folks here have been working with me to let me know that it is OK to be friends with humans. Patriots made a plea a month ago for someone to consider fostering me to let me know what a home environment is like but I guess most were not willing to take in a dog who was not social. I will never get completely over my distrust of humans unless someone takes the time to get to know me. I do love kids and trust them a lot more than I trust adults. I just want to be able to be a happy boy and find a home - living in a shelter for two and a half years is no way for a dog to live. Thanks and if someone is interested in me, my name is Lambert.
